Ready Deplorable One

So it begins. The GOPe was planning on laying down and losing the next election.

Nothing stops a wave like a really good breakwater.

I do believe our POTUS has his own plans for the Mid Terms

Largest workplace ICE Raid

Trump new tariffs on China

I expect a stream of outrage as these headlines continue.

He is forcing the agenda. By taking actions and not just rhetoric, he will increase the shrillness of the Elites and force the GOP candidates to take a position for or against specific actions just as they are going to face Trump voters.

Over to you Ryan and McConnell, he just raised you the pot. You cannot sit this one out and hope your Democrat friends get rid of Trump.

Our Elites and the Swamp keeps forgetting one thing. To them, the way it was was good, they got rich and the working and middle class took the bullets and paid for it.

Now the working and middle class see jobs, raises and things working. So their choice is return to when it was good for the Elites, or stay on the Trump path.

I do believe the blue wave is contained in a bubble. Flooding the zone on special elections when the GOP lays down says more about the GOP laying down than the mood of the voters.

I expect more fireworks from the executive branch.

  1. The thing I love about Trump is that he has drawn the line for the rift on the right in such a way that he cuts off the foot draggers and traitors.

That alone is a great service and it helps us with getting the middle class onboard.

    drawn the line

He has indeed but I’ve noted my concern on MJ’s site HW about the market. I’ve decided to withdraw for now (exception: dividend stocks) and let it all shake out. Trump has been left with five presidential messes and it’s going to be more costly to drain the swamp than any of us imagined.

    That’s ok; I’ll wait.

    100% concur!

  4. China is measuring their adversary and seeing if he sweats. He knows that and will just smile. Nothing scares a man in a fight more than seeing his opponent enjoying being there.

In the meantime, people like me are paying a pretty hefty price for the mistakes made by Donald’s predecessors and China knows this as well. I’d counter your comment with this:

China is measuring their adversaries and seeing if they sweat.

I’m sweating all right, but at least I saw this coming and was able to protect myself.

Exactly. This is what Trump knows how to do. That’s why he’s saying there will be pain but that things will be much better after we get through this.

It’s like Reagan’s first 3 years of trusting in the economy and then finally seeing things take off — just like he knew they would.

He also raised the pot on the Chicoms. They’re gonna blink.

Lord, I hope you’re right. I’m worried about them holding so much of our debt, though. Always thought that was a bad idea.

However, our greatest protection would seem to be that we’re their biggest market and it would hurt them terribly to destroy our economy. That hope is tempered, though, by how irrational lefties are. What do they care if tens of millions of Chinese starve? They’ve offed plenty of inconvenient people in the past.

We’re walking a tightrope. Don’t screw this up Mr. President.

It would destroy their economy, not ours. And yes, they don’t mind killing peasants but the leadership is afraid of their own elites. China is no Soviet Union; they have plenty of billionaires. And those billionaires have generated wealth for many millions of Chinese citizens. They’re not going to sit still while Xi screws up their lives.

Excellent point. The Chinese govt may have created a monster they don’t understand. You give a bunch of Communists (or anyone, for that matter) the ability to operate as capitalists and their first instinct will always be to protect their assets.
