Musings on The Freedom Rebellion….

John’s post on Alt Comics got me musing.(I hear they have a salve for it now…)

We are confronted by a huge monolith of media, google, facebook, etc, Hollywood and the whole of progressive thought police. Many worry, a few grab ice picks and begin chipping away. Sometimes they grab jackhammers and get elected POTUS.

Oppressive regimes can last a while until a group comes along that is willing to create alternatives.

One of America’s traditional strengths has been the larger than usual percentage of crazies willing to risk flouting the norms and fight the system.

Well ordered societies create their own mental prisons.

The Progressives and Globalists have created such a straightjacketed society that it is once again fun to be a rebel, rabble, deplorable.

Antifa is the new Klan and we have a new generation of Freedom Riders.

Yippie Ki Yay…. Mother@#$%^&!~

  1. As long as I can remember conservatives have always complained but continued to support to a varying degree institutions that don’t have their best interests at heart. They try to start alternatives but usually they are half-hearted attempts. (I am thinking of some of the movies.) There is a resistance to go against the flow but not to complain about the flow.

I have gone back and force with DocLor about “silence means agreement”.  It comes from the Latin phrase “qui tacet consentire videtur” which usually have the context of the added phrase “when he ought to have spoken and was able to” (“ubi loqui debuit ac potuit”).  This becomes an issue when people no longer feel even safe to speak or they are in a situation where speech is censored.  For myself I belief sticking around is support because not working toward the alternative and being silent is a form of consent. One becomes the enemy.

The left took their time and slowly took over many institutions. They used the same tactic. In the name of fairness, civility, and inclusion they have been unfair, uncivil, and exclusive. We fight a holding action at best as we slowly retreat. BUT it is good to see a few are willing to take the hard way and make a difference. It is hard to go up stream but it beats going over the falls at the end.

  2. TKC1101 is spot on. We are at a huge cultural advantage right now, because there is no way to fake being the underdog rebels. (How ridiculous did those Handmaid’s Tale cosplayers look at the Kavanaugh hearings?) The Left is a puritanical Borg cube; we have all the positive energy and the righteous glamour at this point.

  3. Have any Ratburghers signed up for NRPlus ?

If you do, I would like to hear about it.   A real conservative could probably get himself banned.

National Review is advertising a new premium service.   Evidently it includes the ability to comment on their articles.   I have not investigated it, but it might be more fun than heckling them at R>.
