  1. If the situation were reversed, does anyone think the majority would be so accommodating, so… afraid of appearances?  Here, yet again, we see our principles being used against us, while they pursue and use the only thing they desire — power

Time for a total war, scorched Earth strategy. There is no alternative anymore. May God forgive us, and the Republic survive this.

You need to get in touch with your feminine side. Are you eating red meat? (That might explain it.) Forget about how strong your mother was I don’t mean that feminine side. I mean bad hair day and I don’t know what to wear feminism. 🙂

  3. They vote Monday.

Grassley will offer a hearing after the Committee vote but prior to the Full Senate vote. No votes will be swayed.

I have a feeling the Dems DO NOT WANT Ford on TV. I find it odd she has made no TV appearance to date.

  4. I was just thinking, Cyrano, how thankful I am that you used Kavanaugh’s initial for the title of this post.

  5. Despite Grassley’s tweet(s), the committee vote is still scheduled for Monday, according to committee website.

Maybe Grassley is playing rope-a-dope, knowing he has nothing more to lose by letting the Blasey Ford charade continue over the weekend.

On the one hand, if she were a halfway decent or presentable person, she would be all over TV, like Stormy and Creepy.  On the other hand, lots of TV would make her seem like an opportunist — like Stormy and Creepy. Instead, she’s such a “victim” she can’t even fly, owing to the lack of “escape routes”.  She’s going to play little Miss Brittle, if she shows at all.

Why?  Maybe I’m just a lazy typist (though I was going for the allusion to D-Day).

  7. I would guess that a certain occupant of a house on Pennsylvania Avenue is telling Grassley to get it done.  I can’t see him moving ahead on his own.

Pencilvania Avenue? I never knew she had that much power. On second thought, they don’t call her The Eraser for nothing.

  9. Dime, you are a mere Pencil pusher. And I get pointy when I am pushed.

The rumor I heard floating is that the insufferable Jeff Flake was the vacillating vote holding up the Rs. If he has been sufficiently squashed, I think the vote will fly Monday, and by two weeks from today the media will be in the thralls of a completely new cataclysm of their choosing.

    Don’t get pointy with me!

I don’t care about S’no Flake even if  he is the fly in the anointment.

I say, Pencil, when are you going to sharpen up and stop being lead and lead?

  12. Saturday night’s installment of As The World Turns:  Fourth “witness” to Blasey Ford’s alleged party identified, said to be lifelong friend of Blasey Ford, but denies knowing Kavanaugh.

Oh, and she’s Bob Beckel’s ex-wife.  You can’t make this stuff up.

  13. I’ve enjoyed watching this blow up in the demonrats faces.

Sure, the gop is renowned as the stupid party, and there’s still plenty of opportunity for them to screw this up- but this woman has somehow magically managed to create a story that can’t be made credible even by the mighty wurlitzer of the leftist propaganda machine playing at full volume.

Kind of like it was a bald-faced lie right from the start- and an especially clumsy one, too. Anita Hill was much better at this.

No wonder this lady doesn’t want to testify.
