Ready for Winter!

Votes are filled in properly and mailed.  Power washed and stained the deck during the last sunny spell.  Got a new fire table put up by our deck lounges.  The 5th wheel is ready for a Monday departure on our final seasonal trip, to the Astoria area, specifically our favorite site at Ft. Stevens state park.  It’s after two pm, so it’s fruits of labor time with the adoring fish.  Well….they do adore their meals!  Raining now and I don’t need to care.

  1. Spring is right around the corner in Fernandina Beach in my new home in a wildlife preserve and I’m going to need a koi pond. As soon as the home and landscaping is finished I may need to kidnap you.

    I know where you live.

  3. Very Nice pond!  Mine is now covered with a net and support boards to keep the leaves out of it. I still have the waterfall running, but I cut back the hours on the timer, it would get too bone chilling for my fish too early. My new roof is on and yet comes the arduous task of raking up the leaves. The only maple tree on my property had dropped hers, but the oaks, the mighty oaks,  their fruitfulness has provided an abundance of acorns to the pleasure of the squirrels and the nightly visiting deer, to me they will give back breaking work scraping up their leaves.

Thanks; I’d be grateful and we will but my husband thinks you’ve photoshopped your pictures. We’ll have to keep this our little secret. 🙂
