Ft. Stevens for 10 Days!

Last trip of the season, as it’s getting cold.  We usually go to a local park that is gorgeous, but opted this year for the NW tip of OR.  Some rain, but since its source was from what we call a pineapple wind pattern, sourced in the Hawaiian island area, the air was almost a constant 46 to 50 degrees, day and night.  The weather was perfect on arrival and on departure, making for great landing and packing duties with the trailer.  Had a few day trips mixed in with maximal laziness.  I forgot my real camera on them, but took a few nice iPhone pix with my 8.

Arrival
In memory of John Jacob Astor
Near Cape Disappointment
Gwyneth by the fire
Because TKC does it…
Similar to a picture I took in the Redwoods. Beautiful sun rays.

  1. I wonder if Ft. Stevens is the same Stevens as Stevens Pass in Washington State. (It isn’t.) It is named after a Washington Territorial government Isaac Stevens who died in the Civil War.

Trin, beautiful country. I miss the rich dark green of the Pacific Northwest. Thanks for sharing.

I am going to count this post as a Photo Friday. 🙂

  2. Nice truck, Trinity-

Looks like you got extraordinary weather for the time of year.

A Truck, a Dog and an Ocean. Sounds like the perfect mix.

Did you drive the beach down to Gearhart?

We went to Long Beach to hit the beach with the truck.  Spec-frickin’-tacular.  4 wheel works…
