  1. Boy howdy, I hope you’re right! I haven’t lost an ounce of confidence in my Don but I’m truly becoming frightened of my country.

Everywhere I turn, I’m exposed to complete inanity and I won’t deny that Secretary Mattis’ resignation rattled my confidence. Why is he a self-proclaimed Democrat? Why is Fed Chairman Powell attempting to ruin our housing economy (and one of my most important stocks)?

Why is our president having such a hard time finding employees to share his world view? Is our country so far gone and the swamp so entrenched in D.C. that we may never recover?

Here’s to surviving and prospering in 2019. Sorry for the lack of enthusiasm but I’m beginning to feel like the proverbial stranger in a strange land.

  2. Good Advice. I don’t listen to the propagandists much, but when I do I see desperation and a willingness to expend every ounce of dignity and credibility they have attacking Trump. They have absolutely lost it. They are creating mass insanity, and that is what scares me, and it makes me hate them deeply.

This is a rough ride through the astroid belt, but I believe we will make it through to the other side. The captain just has to hold firm.

Another analogy is screaming children in the back seat who have finally been told no by their father. The kids are screaming in public, everyone is looking at dad like he’s a monster, but the kids will only learn (and stop) when the tactic is proven ineffective.

We are still in the Exposure Phase. These phonies (on both sides, but especially the corporate media) are throwing everything they’ve got at us. Nearly every Trump voter, along with a substantial number of other people, are witnessing the media meltdowns, the blatant hypocrisy, the lies and deceptions. Those of us who already knew or suspected have had our eyes opened even wider (muchly  in my case) and we will never go back.

All they are doing is preying on people with weak minds and a partisan agenda working them up into a near-frenzy.

What kind of repudiation would it be if/when Trump is re-elected easily in 2020 after they’ve fired every shot?

I really don’t see how they can do much to Trump other than maybe obliquely confirm for some people that he’s not exactly Ward Cleaver. And who will be the Democrat challenger?

They have no one formidable, and the Den primaries will be a blast to watch. The only threat might be someone out of the blue, like a Bloomberg, Oprah or some such, but without having run a national campaign and/or being a political newbie is risky versus a relatively strong incumbent with a good economy. It could well be a catastrophic loss for the Democrats across the board if they aren’t careful.

Yes. Exactly. This is what I fear the most and after re-reading a few chapters of Chernow’s Hamilton last night and AH’s steadfast rejection of the French Revolution, I’m starting to remember OWS and how long Mayor Bloomberg allowed that to destroy business, the highly annoying, distracting #Me Too protests and the endless destruction of free speech at universities.

Granted, I’ve lived much of my adult life in urban coastal areas, but I continue to be surprised and appalled that I don’t know a single person who believes any of the above mentioned ‘incidents’ are crimes against democracy and capitalism.

The election of 2020 will be razor close, just like 2016.   The Democrats may be able to steal the election, but I hope not.   We will need thousands more poll watchers than we have previously deployed.   I fully expect the result to be held up by lawyering, like in 2000.

Half the country is ready to vote for Josef Stalin if he is the Democrat candidate.   I am especially afraid of a Michelle candidacy.

All joking aside, I get around and I don’t mingle with my own kind because unfortunately they don’t exist. It’s been fun to live and work in a “diverse” world but know it’s getting to be a threat to my prosperity.
