Christian Bale Thanks Satan In Acceptance Speech

ENTERTAINMENT
Christian Bale won a Golden Globe on Sunday night for his role as Dick Cheney in Vice, and he apparently had quite an interesting muse for his role as the VP.

“Thank you Satan for giving me inspiration on how to play this role,” he said, per Business Insider. Reaction on Twitter ranged from shocked memes to impressed memes to Liz Cheney tweeting an article about Bale’s 2008 arrest for assault.

It’s interesting how Hollywood is choosing to alienate an entire base. I’ve always loved movies and award shows but I’ve just plain quit them all unless Clint Eastwood is involved.

  1. 10 Cents:
As if he needed outside inspiration.

He is my inspiration indeed. American Sniper still- to this day- rocks my world.

As an interesting aside, a Marine friend of mine said his wife wouldn’t allow him to see the film. Too realistic!!

    My “he” was Christian Bale.

Who is the “he” that is your inspiration?

  3. Bale is a great actor.  Did you see American Hustle?   If not, get it, esp. if you remember Abscam.  (I saw it with my daughter and she couldn’t believe that had actually happened.).  But I didn’t realize,  till I saw a clip of him accepting this award,  that he’s Limey scum.  How effing DARE   some lower class Brit criticize our elected officials?  Mind your own business, you’ve committed more than your share of atrocities and now it turns out your own leaders won’t do the people’s will.  So: stuff it!

  4. Big Entertainment Media has been a Leftist anti-American project for generations.   Big Entertainment promotes vague moralistic Deism and libertinism at the same time and without a clue of the internal disconnect.

I had known since Confirmation Class that Big Entertainment was my cultural enemy, but it was driven home for me twenty years ago when we started homeschooling.   I was constantly pointing out the hidden messages and the unasked questions and the bad influences.   After four years of homeschooling Snooks and I were both worn out and we got rid of the TV.

  5. It’s a sad thing because some of my favorite and positive memories came from TV when I was a kid and young adult: Get Smart, Addams Family, Man From U.N.C.L.E., Cheers, Thirtysomething, Seinfeld…

I’m now limited to Masterpiece Theatre and Modern Family.
