Wall Us, not Wallace!

Why is Chris Wallace on Fox?  Kick him to CNN and be done.

Huffpost is revelling in his comment that it’s “rich” that the GOP is “whining ” about Schiff’s retaliatory new investigations of Trump, after they  investigated Benghazi, the IRS, Fast and Furious!

Yuh, see Chris, that’s kinda our point.  In each of those instances, there was an actual incident, a definite wrong: the embassy was torched.  The IRS director announced  to the American Bar Association that her agency had been discriminating against conservative organizations, f’rinstance.

Here,  we have not only no incident, but extensive failure to turn up any evidence of criminal wrongdoing by Trump, despite determined  and wide ranging investigations by admittedly partisan agencies and individuals.  Investigations begun to FIND a crime, not to investigate any occurrence!

(And Pelosi smirks, “Well…..if he has nothing to hide..” )

What do you think,  O Ratty?   Is it good, on some level,  that Fox airs a quisling like Chris Wallace?

I cant see it.  The Left never gives Fox, or anybody else on the Right, any credit for being fair, open minded, even-handed.  They drive a shiv through any perceived chink in our armor.

Thats why I just can’t be sanguine about Wallace equating the Benghazi attack with the mere fact, (incredible as it seems to the Left!) that Hilary lost the election.

  1. Oh, yes, boot him off!

But it won’t happen.  I see more and more stories on Fox online that could be written by CNN.

  2. Drudge too used to be very supportive of Trump, now is way too gleeful about hatchet job stories. Toss ’em all off.

  3. I have been cautioning conservative friends for over a decade that Fox is not a competent voice for the right.   Fox is in the infotainment bidness.   All they care about is profits and ratings.   What they want is to get you worked up enough to yell at your TV.

The way Fox News operates is that their newsroom is only a little bit less Lefty as the next newsroom.   After all, they are putting up a pretense of serious journalism, so they hire graduates from elite Leftist schools of journalism at elite Leftist universities, just like all the other newsrooms.

Then they give talk show slots to the most histrionic voices on the right that they can find, because that gives Fox News a distinction from the other networks.

Infotainment with a conservative image is still just infotainment.

We have not had a functional TV in my house for over a decade.   Life is better that way.   Since I am unused to TV, when I visit friends and relatives who have Fox on, I can see just how awful it is.

Yes, and those investigations, like the House Committees in the previous Congress, were stymied by the Deep State operatives in the Department of Justice and the rest of the agencies.

What we desperately need is for Trump to replace the rest of the Obama holdovers, even if he leaves another 600 positions vacant because of Democrat intransigence or because he cannot find good candidates.   Most of those agency offices would perform their work better with a vacancy as manager rather than those Deep State moles.

That’s quite an overstatement.  Although you accurately characterize the newsroom as just sufficiently less leftist than the next guy, their talk shows are distinctly non-leftist but hardly histrionic let alone the most histrionic available. They are less histrionic than their counterparts on the leftist networks. In many cases they are less histrionic than the newsrooms of the leftist networks.

Yes but it’s the girls, especially those leg shots.

  7. I haven’t had cable in over a decade, so I only get Fox News proper when I travel.  I find it’s evening programs far more conservative than Chris’ Fox News Sunday that I get on the local broadcast channel.

  8. Hypatia, et al, sorry to inform that I’ve already fixed the issue with CW acting as a useful idiot.  I don’t watch him or listen to him.  If he shows up unexpectedly on some program, I have these wonderful Hulu and YouTube devices in my house called mute and fast-forward.  For a princely sum, I may share these with fellow Ratties.

How much is a “princely sum”? Are we talking Prince Charles, Prince Andrew, or the former artist known as?
