  1. You must tell us from whence this picture is taken. It looks as if you’re visiting a lovely village in Bavaria- Munich or Nuremberg perhaps?

    If so … Frohe Ostern.

  2. The Polish tradition is the other way about:  bring the tree inside, in a way.  On the table lay a white tablecloth.  On it strew leaves of myrtle.  Then place another tablecloth on top. Lay the Easter breakfast on that.

A Happy Easter to all, and all the blessings of the coming seasons.

Did you decorate these eggs? They are beautiful.

  4. Thanks, but no, that photo is off the OverMind.  I inherited a couple of nicely-done eggs, but am far too clumsy to achieve such effects myself.  String, wax, spoons, boiling water, dyes – keep me away if you wish to avoid disaster.

Ukrainians and Poles both do the detailed eggs very well.

  5. 10 Cents:
Do you have a dime so I can see the size of the Easter eggs on the tree? (If not send me a ticket.)

You can get a sense for the dimensions comparing to the human heads at the base.  (Heads are roughly 20 cm in diameter.) Since I’m on my phone it’s hard to edit the picture. Apologies.

The picture was taken in Prague’s Old Town Square.

    They look like balloons.

They look like Fabergés without the jewels!
