Trash-Talkin’ Tlaib

The foul-mouthed freshman Fatima did not say the Holocaust had a calming effect on her.

Worse!  She  pretended to  be sympathetic  and hortified, but…well, there is one little thing: why did “her people” (really?  Is she an American or not?)  ..why did the poor Palestinians  have to pay,   so heavily! to  make a safe haven for Jews?

See what she did there?  The fact that she actually did express sympathy for Jews only serves to make you feel that maybe  the rest of her statement is only  reasonable, too!!

Pam Geller, call your office!  Remember when Geller put up those posters  of photographs of Al Husseini, the Grand Mufti Of Jerusalem , sitting with Hitler?  Proper Leftists reacted as if the photos were a scurrilous anti-Islamic cartoon, instead of , y’know, an actual, photographic record of the fact that Al Husseini spent the war years in Berlin, with Hitler, broadcasting anti-Semitic propaganda, and Hitler had promised him that if Germany won,  the Final Solution in the Middle East would he Husseini’s to carry out.

You can’t  change it , folks: it is what happened.

Tlaib also skips over the Balfour declaration ( a recognition of the fact that there already were many Jews living in what is now Israel, not a policy of mass resettlement)  and the fact that in 1947, when Israeli forces took sovereignty back from the British, not from some Arab polity,  the. Arab nations expelled their Jews en masse, with just the clothes on their backs, and immediately declared war on Israel. .

No, the problem with Tlaib is not what she said about the Holocaust.  The problem is that the rest  of what she said is wrong.  False. Pernicious.

And  it’s all playing out the way she and Omar want it: the focus is on whether we dare call her anti-Semitic—

when it should   be on whether we dare call her a liar.

  1. Could you imagine the uproar if someone said “lynchings had a calming effect” or “rape had a calming effect”. It would not matter if there were any good intent then. Dems need to play by the rules they have laid down.

No no no, 10cents!  That’s my point, she didn’t  say that, and she can, with impunity,   mime righteous indignation  when people  accuse  her of it—

which obfuscates   the rank falsity, the dishonesty,  of what she said about the history of the nation of Israel.

  3. I want to expose the TACTIC she, and the Left, are using:  the “Voice of Sweet Reason”.

Be not deceived: in a climate like today’s,people who appear to be saying, innocuously, that there are two sides to every story are really propagating TWO pernicious ideas:

there are ONLY two sides; and

    Only ONE is correct (theirs).

    Dont call her an anti-Semite.

    Call her a LIAR.

  4. New York Post has her quote in which she defended herself for her previous remarks:

In an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Monday night, Tlaib said her grandmother lives in the West Bank, which she described as “the occupied territories of Palestine” and how many of her ancestors “died” or “gave up their livelihood” to provide a safe haven for Jews, which she wanted to “recognize and honor.”

“I want all of us to feel safe. All of us deserve human dignity, no matter our backgrounds, no matter our ethnicity, no matter even our political opinions, we all deserve that kind of equality and justice. And, you know, for me, I wanted to uplift that and bring that to light and it was unfortunate,” Tlaib said.

“You know, I got a text from a friend who’s like, ‘Hey, next time, you know, really clarify. Maybe talk like a fourth-grader because maybe the racist idiots would understand you better.’”

She added: “I will continue to speak truth to power and continue to uplift my grandmother through love and that’s all I can do is continue to share the human impact of what it means to be a Palestinian in the occupied territory.”

I want every media outlet that pretends to “balance” to ask all the Democrat leadership if President Trump, all Republicans, and half of America can fairly be characterized as “racist idiots” who need to be talked to at a fourth grade level.   And I want to know just what part of her previous remarks was so sophisticated that it was misunderstood, with a clarification provided by Congresswoman Tlaib.

This comments endears her to me even further.
