To Live or Not to Live That is the Question

Recently Alabama has made a new helping fetuses to be born. Some people are against this. One actress has called for a sex strike. Others feel this is against women. It gets really strange at times because the women who are most into empowerment, tell us women are not ready to be mothers.

As I thought about this issue, I thought of all the aborted fathers and mothers. The issue is not just about the baby but about a mother and father too. I think it devastates a life to choose “the easy way”. It has consequences physically, mentally, and spiritually. A physically safe abortion does mean the unmother is okay. She with unfather still have issues.

The same people who are against the government separating children from parents want Planned (Un)Parenthood to do that.

  1. This is probably harsh but when I hear about these celebrities talk about their earlier abortions and look at their lives I go, “This explains a lot.” They don’t look all that happy and they don’t usually age well.

  2. People know in their souls it killed a a future human being.

At 20, before kids, I’d have been foolish enough.

Now with two teenagers, I know the pain I would have felt until I died.

What worries me even more is some people don’t feel anything.

  4. No one has written about the Sex Strike. Usually when people go on strike others cross the line to do their jobs while the contract is being negotiated. I don’t think the wives and girlfriends want that.

That’s right, but remember, with these people the issue is never the issue.  Power is the only issue. Milano, or whatever her name is  – Alysistrata? –  was conducting an exercise in the wielding of power.  She was testing to learn the extent of her power:  could she get women to do as she urged, on the basis of the psychological persuasive powers at her command, in the moment? Secondarily, how much cred could she generate therewith within her own business circles?

  6. I have no dogma in this fight, but having recently been in Passau and determinedly concentrating this trip  on the 20th century instead of the  far more  alluring 16-17th—

i have to say that whenever a government begins facilitating and legitimizing  abortion on a large scale,  like the Nazis did in Passau with the Slavic women working there as slave labor—

it is not  going to be an edifying spectacle.

Yes, but it takes time. I think of these young Disney stars that look like they went over a cliff.

    Seems almost universal.

  10. Similar to Hyp, I have no dogma in this fight either but I do believe wholeheartedly in what the state of Alabama has done in outlawing any abortions past 6-8 weeks. There is no excuse for waiting until the third trimester which can incur partial birth abortion, a nauseating practice and in my mind, a crime.

Although many of you would prefer the abolition of all abortions, I hope you can feel some optimism that important progress is being made.

I recently watched Gloria Steinem on Christine Amanpour’s show and she is apoplectic about the closing of clinics in Texas and of course the Alabama state ruling. That’s always a good sign!

I’ve been showing my contrition all day long by looking at Emily Ratajkowski pictures.

    You mean ogling, right?

Please! I’m trying to accept my well-deserved punishment with all the dignity I can muster!
