  3. I thought that in Texas it was a “pick-em-up truck”.  In the 1970s I had a boss who came from west Texas and that’s what he always called his.

  6. I had a pickup: a ’65 Ford F150 with a 1971 429 Police Interceptor shoe-horned into the front. It drove real good … in a straight line. Ideally, this ‘straight line’ would lead to the next gas station as it didn’t get mileage so much as yardage. On the positive side, you could use the fuel gauge as a crude speedometer.
