Gloves Are Coming Off

The reaction to POTUS going on the offensive against his enemies has been predictable. (Note: I use the word “enemies” as the Democrats, Media, Globalist Donors and the embedded Deep State long ago gave up any pretense of being ‘the loyal opposition”)

The “Mueller” report hearings had their effect, they turned the tide from defense to offense. (If someone tells me their theory is that Mueller got a deal from Barr that if he made himself to be a doddering old fool in public , he would keep his freedom and get a get out of jail free card, I would not dispute it. It was a great performance. If Alec Guinness was alive, he could take the role)

Trump is a master of the reality show medium, a new political skill that will become the new dynamic in elections and governance. He violates every rule of the professional political class and loves watching their heads spin.

He knows he needs a story arc, and the timing is driven by results AT THE RIGHT TIME for maximum impact. A lot of his followers are upset that “no convictions , no arrests yet, it’s all a hoax” is creating tension amongst his devout followers. Tension is key to keeping the viewers coming back for the rest of the season.

Two possibilities- Trump has sold out and he is allowing Barr to cover it all up and he will lose the next election as his base dissipates. This accepts that he is stupid enough to let that happen.

My preferred possibility- POTUS knows he needs the plot to come to a crescendo near the election. He can accept some despair in his ranks as it will increase the power when the offensive delivers.

The offensive opening moves:

Attack the democrats strongholds by a sneak attack that breaks the conventional rules. Their urban failures have been covered by having “Respected Icons of Racial Heritage” as cover. They cannot be attacked as that would be suicide politically. POTUS ignored the rules, went after their biggest icon, Cummings on his neglect of his district, and magically a local video of urban devastation comes out with excellent timing. The Democrats and Media now have to defend rat infestation.

The democrats have no other defense for their track record of urban corruption and mismanagement. Since they have overused the racist card , the public reaction is , yeah , yeah, we’re all racists, so what…

The democrats thought healthcare was their new big issue. Urban blight just drop kicked that hard. They have to fight on the most unfavorable terrain possible. (Look into Ben Carson and his work on Opportunity Zones, completely off the media radar)

Move more competent players in place. Replacing Coats as DNI with a prosecutor (Ratcliffe) sends a non warning shot to the key senators who were part of the failed coup.

Force the Democrats to either give him a win on the new North American Trade deal , or give him a win by opposing it. If they oppose it, they lose more blue collar and ag votes.

I expect a re-labelling effort soon that open borders advocates are either in the pay of human slavers in the cartels or are doing it for free. Time to stop playing defense on the border. Supporters generate new memes that “Democrats Are STILL the party of Slavery” with Cartel slavers delivering human traffic to Democratic Urban plantations.

If you are impatient for arrests, ask yourself: When would I script in the convictions between now and the 2020 election? I would save them so they are top of the news late spring , 2020.

I may be wrong, Barr is a cover up man, all is lost. I prefer to believe Donald Trump will not lose gracefully. like most politicians. His entire life tells me he does not play to not lose, he plays to win.

Winning is more that getting more votes. It means you destroy your enemies concepts , ideology and legends.

Whine if we lose. Now, it is annoying and not useful.

  1. I follow Joe DiGenova and he says that by Wednesday the DoJ will start some release of documents. The tide seems to be turning.

Well, we will know in a few days. I haven’t heard this from Joe DiGenova. He has been quite critical of the pre-Barr DoJ.

  4. I enjoyed the way Margot Cleveland parsed Mueller’s testimony.

While much of the criticism leveled at Mueller following his testimony focused on his ignorance of key facts and his confusion over the details contained in the special counsel’s report, the following seven lines of inquiry show Mueller knew exactly what he was doing.

We’ve reached the point where he was so awful, so pitiable,  So abysmally clueless— that people think it must have been a cunning plan!  Same thing about AOC.

  6. I don’t even know if there is a deadline under FOIA.  But all the Right to Know statutes are a snare and delusion.  In our state they have to supply the documents within 5 days, but, they can request a 30 day extension,,which they always do.  Then you’ll receive a buncha heavily redacted pages, and they’ll claim exemption for a lot of the stuff.

    Ahem……it’s Wednesday….do you hear anything?

What’s supposed to happen on Wednesday?

I’ve been waiting for someone to affirm that James Comey has committed crimes and today I heard that the DoJ Inspector General Horowitz referred Comey to the Attorney General for prosecution for two criminal acts, lack of candor or lying to government officials and violation of the Espionage Act for leaking classified information.

That is John Solomon. Men spell it with an “h”, Bob. 😉

Here is a link to the video.

  11. Yeah…and the DOJ already declined  to prosecute Slimy Jim.

Wednesday (yesterday ) was the day Joe DiGenova promised  a big, damning document reveal.

Hannity, it seems to me, has been promising this every two days for over a year.

The GOP is beginning to resemble one of those Doomsday cults, where the faithful regularly assemble in a field  or on a mountaintop to await rapture….

No wait: it’s not the party functionaries, the GOP high priests, who are deceived again and again: it’s us,  the faithful.  How long, O Lord?

At first I thought maybe they were waiting to develop the more serious charges against Comey and then do some plea dealing to implicate his intelligence agency  and State Department partners. Then I remembered Comey lies on a scale equal to Michael Cohen, so maybe not.

I thought there would be more. Well, at least it wasn’t a long wait. Naively I am putting my trust in Joe DiGenova and John Solomon. Maybe I just want to believe there is a jail cell at the end of the conspiracy arc.

Yeah…, If this were a Rex Stout novel the titles might be ‘Too Many Crimes’ and ‘Too Many Criminals’. I think this might be part of the problem causing at least some of this holding back and delay in release of information. Of course, some of the criminals are still in play and we have some of those likely being blackmailed still in play, so another title could be ‘Too Many Factors’.
