Respect for Megyn Kelly

I watched this interview and I have new found respect for Megyn Kelly. She was able to walk away from things for a year. That is a hard thing for some people to do. For they feel the need to put themselves out there. Often times they have to get even and put out a book to tell their side. Fortunately she seems to not bear a grudge and has enjoyed life with her family. “Spending more time with family” is the lie given for multiple departures but in her case this I think is the truth. If you get a chance watch the interview she had some interesting things to say about NBC and Trump.

  1. I don’t care about Kelly’s confessional story. She’s a collaborator. We are in an existential struggle. There’s simply no room for collaborators. I’ve had it up to here with the Nevers and their fellow travelers.

Does she need to go to a retraining camp or something more permanent? 🙂

Re-education camp should suffice. Reserve the firing squad for Bill Kristol.

  5. Sorry to sound cynical, Dime, but there’s a movie coming out soon about the women at Fox and how they took out Ailes  – ‘Bombshell’ – so I see this as a promo for the movie. The movie producers KNOW that a big part of their audience could come from Fox watchers if they can just get the word out, so expect to see her, Gretchen Carlson, etc, making very sympathetic appearances. I don’t buy it one bit.

No problem. We will see how things turn out.

  7. Sorry, Dime. I feel the same way as drlorentz. This woman’s image alone is needles to my eyes. She is Jezebel and Medusa wrapped up in a blingy package. Do not be taken in by her siren song.

  9. I don’t know what to think. I’m not a fan of Megyn Kelly or Gretchen Carlson in that they took the sexual harassment from Roger Ailes in exchange for success at Fox News. It wasn’t until after their rise and after making a great deal of money, that they came out with their story. Sorry, you can’t say that you want to protect women if you exchange some kind of sexual favor for career advancement.

I would have a lot more respect for these women if they admitted that they were silent to protect their own positions, and do a mea culpa to the women who didn’t advance because they didn’t put out. Me Too in my opinion, really misses the ball in that it doesn’t highlight the women who didn’t succumb, kept their dignity and we don’t know their names because their careers either never took off or were ruined.

THOSE are the women I want to hear from. Not the chicks who chose their ambition over their dignity.

  10. I just was moved by her explaining how she lost her father when she was 15. She wanted to be there for her kids because life is too short. I guess I am a sap when it comes to parenthood and young kids.

I’ll give her that, and I think it is an important message to push to young women. I doubt Megyn Kelly would do that to the extent that she should. But, in my opinion young women need to hear that family and having children is much more important than a career. Unfortunately, most women don’t realize that until it is too late and their fertility window is coming to a close. Ann Coulter recently was on Eric Metaxas’s and in her Ann Coulter fashion said that young women should focus on getting married and having children in their 20’s and stay out of politics, journalism, and activism. Obviously, not a popular opinion to have but one I share with her. Our politics and society are crazy because women have been given the reigns of power with no push back from men. And As a women I will tell you with no push back to reign us in when our emotions get the better of us (and it does more often than we would like to admit) things can go crazy.

Sorry that went on a tangent. But I’m glad Megyn mentioned that being with her kids for the past year was a benefit.

There is a term for exchanging sexual favors for monetary gain. It escapes me at the moment.

Isn’t it little hypocritical of Ann Coulter to tell people not to follow her example? She had other priorities.

She mentioned that but also mentioned that her life and career are one in a million. Which is true. If you set out in life to be an Ann Coulter you will likely fail.

Also, she’s going to die alone, she didn’t say that but I will. Anyway I’d rather be Phyllis Schlafly then Ann Coulter.
