Does Anyone Wear their Daddy Issues More on their sleeve then Ron Reagan Jr?

I mean really. This guy will do anything to be as opposite to his father as possible. Meanwhile no one would care who this guys is if not for his dad.

Ron Jr, be like Elsa and “LET IT GO!!!”

  1. For those who were dumb like me and watched the video in the OP this will help. Interesting story around the 17 minute mark. (Roger Stone and Paul Manafort get fired.)

  2. There was a world of difference between Maureen and Michael Reagan; and Patti and Ron Reagan. The first two could command a room and were/are impressive.

Obviously, they have different mothers. But I have my theories as to why the difference between the kids. One is generational. Which is obvious there is a gap in ages. The other, I think and I’m pulling this out of my buttocks cause what do I know other than from the outside, is that Ronald Reagan was more into politics when the younger  Reagan’s were little and he and Nancy may have been more preoccupied with politics and may have neglected Ron and Patti and they became bitter. That is my theory anyway.

Jane Wyman, first wife, was a Republican before Reagan was whereas Nancy went along for the ride. Jane Wyman won an Academy Award and was an A-lister. Michael Reagan has said that he got his work ethic from his (adopted) mother. Nancy was into astrology. Need I say more.

  5. 33 minutes into the video of comment 1. Michael Reagan had to sell newspapers to get a bicycle from his mom. He sold papers outside the church they went to every week.

  6. Mate D, I have heard a common thread with atheists is daddy issues. Does Ron Jr ever share lovingly stories of his father?

  7. Junior’s whole life has been one big “[Admin10: Salty Language Thinly Disguised], Dad!” primal scream.

Yes I have heard the same thing..  Also if I hear loving stories about Reagan the dad it’s from Michael, and to be honest it’s usually during elections not as a child , Michael speaks more about his moms influence as a child than his dad. Perhaps Reagan wasn’t the greatest dad in the world. It is possible. I mean the fruits do show that. Thank god for Jane Wyman.

  9. Ok after digging around and this interview. I’m going to have to say that Reagan and both of his wives were bad parents. Sorry, but I’m going there. It seems to me, for what it is worth, that none of my the parents put the kids ahead of their ambitions. Sorry but that seems to be the case from what I have seen. I am someone who is for children’s rights and if you bring a kid into this world or adopt a kid to be raised as you own then they are to be a primary focus. Not to spoil the crap out of them but to give them love. Safety and structure. To me these folks put themselves ahead of their children
