  1. I wonder if someone will make money by editing all the videos of the Dems in these hearings into a test for law students: play a clip – name the legal error in it. Or maybe, name the most egregious legal error in it, if there are multiples.

Rep. Turner knows how to marshal facts.

Feelings don’t care about your facts.

Wow, you are right. Let’s all take a sensitivity moment before we continue.

Here’s the deal: Ben Shapiro keeps yapping that “facts don’t care about your feelings.” He is just preaching to the converted. What he doesn’t seem to get is that a litany of facts changes exactly zero minds in politics. I enjoyed Turner’s monologue but am quite confident that it changed no one’s opinion: everyone who thought Orange Man Bad yesterday still thinks so today. Waving around that thick report was the best thing he did because it made the witness (Hill) look uncomfortable.

Emotions/feelings usually make the sale. People are irrational. Facts do matter but are overrated in persuading people.

I think facts will count more if this goes to the Senate and there will be a lot more of them and who knows who those facts might implicate in criminal acts. Anyone think we’re going to the Senate?
