College Football 2019 – Going Bowling!

The college football postseason has finally arrived! Beginning this Friday, December 20, 2019, teams from coast-to-coast and border-to-border will face off for championship glory. I wish my Texas Tech Red Raiders were playing, but they have not played in a bowl since 2017 and haven’t had the pleasure of winning one since 2013. But at least Mike Leach and the Washington State Cougars are playing the Air Force Falcons in the Cheez-It Bowl. Go Cougs!

So, what teams will you all be rooting for over the holidays? Good luck to all, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and keep calm and cheer on! 🎄 😎 📣

But at least Mike Leach and the Washington State Cougars are playing the Air Force Falcons in the Cheez-It Bowl. Go Cougs!

My grandson’s best friend is a backup QB for the cougars. Get this, they are both named Cam Cooper. My Cam came to Phoenix to watch his friend Cam’s cougars play and visit his grandparents. The two Cams played baseball together for years when they were kids.

    It’s a shame they’re mostly on cable.

Yep, it’d be nice if more were on network television. And there should be a bowl game on Christmas Day. A few years ago there was a proposal to have one on that day called the Christmas Bowl, to be held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. But nothing came of it.

Was he with the team last season? I attended the Alamo Bowl last year when the Cougs played Iowa State.

I think he was a freshman redshirt last year. I don’t know if he traveled with the team then but he does this year.

Mike, how are we going to survive off season without your weekly posts?

Well, the cheerleaders perform at college basketball games in the spring! Maybe I’ll do a post or two. 🏀

    Did you know…

There’s only one school who has their football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball teams all ranked in the top 10…

    I’m guessing it’s a school with a 🦆 as their mascot…
