  1. I saw this in a store last night and bought it. The engine is optional and has zero emissions. What is Christmas without a train set? The cover story is to set it up at the family New Year’s gathering for some children.

  2. I “play with trains” also, except mine are a little bit more realistic. Did you get this one you have shown because there are no small parts you can swallow?

  3. That’s adorable but makes me a little sad. I finally got some 25 year old videotape converted to DVD and it contains lots of my children playing with that type of train set. It was an odd experience to watch again; it took me back and left me disoriented. Unstuck in time.

I only got the set for them as an excuse to play with it myself, just like you, Dime.

Merry Christmas and thanks for the cute pictures.

I see it almost like a decoration that gives me pleasure. I played with a plastic tracked one like this when I was small so I was hoping to share that experience.

I put this together early because I didn’t want to look like I couldn’t put a simple train set together before an audience. I struggled a little but I got it to work.

  5. Very nice.

Years ago, I made myself a decorative trinket holder from a set of Tinker-Toys and old used CDs (as shelves).

I have pictures somewhere in my digital rust.  will dig them out months from now, once I have my empire of junk reassembled.
