I really hope Hunter Biden will NOT testify in the impeachment show trial. His testimony would be to the GOP what the Mueller report was to the Dems. (And I don’t have confidence that OUR dear leaders can recover as fast as the Dems did: Mueller has been erased from political memory.)
Biden fils is already on tape admitting—duh!—that he got his job because of his dad’s public prominence. We all know that, he knows that—and I submit that may be all he knows. He probably, truthfully, doesn’t know what led to the lucrative opportunity: exactly what did dad do, promise, threaten, to get that for him?
The poor lamb, after all, doesn’t even seem to know where babies come from! He is similarly situated to the students in the so-called “college admissions scandal” The “kids”,we are supposed to believe, had no reason to believe they hadn’t gotten those acceptances, which they didn’t even particularly want, all on their own merits! (And i say that because none of them have been criminally charged, even though it’s now quite likely among the spawn of the rich and famous that at least some of them, I’ll bet most, were over I8,sui juris, at the time they applied to colleges.)
No, the hapless Hunter will take the stand and say, in all honesty, that, sure, he assumed getting the Burisma gig had something to do with dad, but he doesn’t know what. A total anti-climax for which the GOP will be mercilessly ridiculed. I don’t think this sinecure-holding son would even need to take the Fifth Amendment.
Get real! it’s Papa JOE, B. Hussein’s designee to handle all things Ukraine, who oughta be sworn in, along with The Lightbearer himself! Joe is ON TAPE bragging that, when the Ukrainians questioned his authority as VP to withhold aid, they weren’t sure the President was behind him, Biden pere shot back, “Call him!”
So many of the GOP legislators are lawyers, they CANNOT (all) be this stupid!! To say nothing of White House counsel.
And now, we hear that the GOP is considering a “deal”: Hunter for Bolton.
Good one! Waive executive privilege, allow a self-declared enemy of the president, a biased and bitter former appointee, to get his revenge on the national stage—in exchange for ten minutes of Hunter convincingly asserting total and unsullied ignorance!
How I wish I didn’t think this is an actual possibility.
(Update: I just saw Schumer saying absolutely not, no Hunter deal, it’s off the table!
Is that cuz he fears it might lead to its logical conclusion: ask Joe and his boss? Or is it, don’ throw me into dat briar patch…….? )
