“Vote for My Vice-President!”

By now Biden’s remark “I’m an old guy! “ is famous. Some say it was a blunder, some compare it to Reagan’s brilliant answer when debating Mondale. “So young and inexperienced.”

But what about the context of the remark? He was saying that because he’s old, his running mate has to be someone prepared to be president at a moment’ notice.

Like: Michelle Obama!

O God. That lady, while possessed of a statuesque figure although not a fraction of Melania Trump’s beauty, is, by all accounts, dumb as cotton. A few years ago I read excerpts from her “thesis” at Princeton. Or rather, I looked at them. You can’t really “read” her turgid prose. Synopsis: being black takes precedence over everything else. (And are you really going to ask me how she got in to Princeton?)
I think she AND the Dem kingmakers know this, actually. In spite of them fact that she’s inexplicably, soooo “beloved” of the people, no one seriously proposed running her for president.

It would be quite a show, were she to debate Pence—but he’d be handicapped by her gender and race.

Much as I’d like to see her exposed as a dunce, I hafta hope, for our dear country’s sake, that Ol’White Joe was just joshin’ with us.

  1. Or he can embrace it: “I promise that I will be the first president rubber roomed under Section 4 of the 25th Amendment! Admit it! You all would pay to see that finally happen.”

He already has embraced it. I saw a clip of Michael Malice on Dave Rubin. Malice said he’d contributed to Biden’s campaign because Biden would be the most fun. Learn to code, Joe!

  3. I think he simply told the truth. Whenever I hear him speak (I try to avoid this as it is so cringe-worthy), I am amazed that the presumptive Dem nominee is obviously suffering from more than the usual pandemic Dem-entia. No, really, he has medical dementia. This fact is not subtle. I take care of such individuals frequently and when I do, I feel compelled document whether or not I believe they have the mental capacity, clinically, to consent (sanity – or lack thereof – can only be determined by a judge; as a physician, I can only offer a clinical impression of the mental capacity to give a valid consent). When I encounter a patient who speaks like Biden, I invariably make an explicit assessment of mental capacity in the medical record.

Accordingly, I have been assuming for a while now that Biden is, by cynical intent, a place holder for the real Dem candidate – the VP nominee. This is only because he is deemed “electable” (I know not why). I would bet a lot on the proposition that, should Biden be elected President (God help us), he would not complete a single term due to mental incapacity, ill health, or his clock simply running out. The picture of health he is not.

Cynical intent = Elect a supposed moderate. Have the term served out by one of the Marxists.

I’m thinking Kamala since she checks two diversity boxes and counters the “old white guy” narrative.

The most fun would be a Biden/Bernie ticket, though it’s unlikely. A doddering senile guy plus an angry old-school Marxist. Too white, too male, and too old; aside from that, it’s a dream team.

    The Statler and Waldorf ticket.

  6. I think Michelle would be a major boost to any of the Democrat candidates.   That strikes me as a shrewd strategy for their side, and dangerous to us.
