You Go Girl

Kylie Cosmetics is an American cosmetics company founded and owned by Kylie Jenner. Formerly known as Kylie Lip Kits, the company was renamed Kylie Cosmetics in 2016 after the release of the liquid lipstick and lip liner set on November 30, 2015. In 2018, Forbes reported the company was valued at $800 million in a highly competitive industry.

This is one of my favorite American success stories; I know we all love to hate the Kardashians/Jenners, but this young lady had the intelligence to tap into the American Girl market and had the greatest Momager to help her along the way. She currently has 500 people working for her in So California alone producing lipstick.

Good for her! This could only happen in America.

    What color do you recommend?

Tan or no tan? Blonde, brunette or redhead? Have you done your “color wheel?”

This subject is as frivolous as it sounds but I dig that we live in a country so prosperous that we can afford both the time and the money to worry about these things.

Speaking of which, I have a manicure appt to prepare for tomorrow, so must run…

This can only happen with capitalism. I don’t wish to sound unpatriotic but products emerging to give consumers what they want happens in free markets.

Yes. Also this brand isn’t exactly a rise up on your boot straps kind of story. The Kardashians are basically high priced prostitutes.ย ย They made their money capitalizing on Kim’s sex tape. Sure, Kris Jenner, as “momager” saw an opportunity and took it, by pimping her kids out. Which is great, in a Machiavellian kind of way, but I would never exploit my children like that, for money. Their brand is basically half naked selfies, and total dysfunction. If you buy stock in this company, get in while the getting is good, because I doubt it will last.

  5. Great principle, but this story is not really an example of it.ย  It’s a script, with famous people on camera, producers, advertisers, and a gullible television-watching populace.

How is the product differentiated from any other chemicals-on-your-face?ย  “Kylie,” a pre-existing famous thing.ย  Yugo-girl.

    Kill your TV.

    What is a color wheel?

Women use one to determine what shades of make-up or clothing colors work well with their skin tones.

I’m glad this post is giving you such an education. ๐Ÿ™‚
