The Future

Bernie has won in Nevada. His nomination is looking likely. The future is becoming clear.

Here’s how it’s going to go. Bernie will have to be allowed to win the nomination even though the DNC is desperate to prevent it. He’ll be “persuaded” to pick Hillary as his running mate to balance the ticket. Bernie wins in November. A few weeks after the inauguration, Bernie has a major heart attack and resigns for health reasons. Either that or he dies mysteriously in the night, à la Epstein. Hillary is anointed the First Woman President.

Next, Buttigieg is tapped to be vice president. The Senate confirms the appointment on a narrow 51-49 vote with the help of the Romney wing of the GOP. The House votes along strict party lines to confirm. Buttigieg transitions to female and joins Hillary in declaring the 2020’s the Decade of the Woman.

Tragically, the stock market crashes and the United States is plunged into a depression. Because of the economic crisis, the 2024 election is suspended and Hillary is declared First Woman President for Life.

Alternatively, COVID-19 decimates the world population before November and Trump is swept to victory on a wave of fear.

  1. It turns out I was wrong. DocLor is a man of honor. I thought Mike Bloomberg had bought him off. I also thought he was over the Hill but I was wrong about that too.

Naw, Katie Hill is not my type. I can’t be over her if I was never into her.

I met the other Hill, the one with Bill.

A ton of dead people who are still on the voter rolls is a recipe for a Democrat victory.

    One reason for “walls”.

  6. This prediction is frankly what I was conjuring up last night (but substituted Warren for Hilary). After 2016, I wish Fox commentators (Dan Bongino aside) would take this not-so- bizarre scenario seriously. What is particularly worrisome is that Bernie is not merely sliding by, he’s winning big. I realize that primary voters represent the hard core extremists of either party but Nevada results were disturbing nonetheless. Daily, I hear more disparaging comments about DJT from more people than I’d like and I live on the border between FL and GA! Plus, let’s face it, there is nothing more attractive to any electorate than the word “free.”

Our entire way of life is one man away from destruction.

Mayor Pete would get 95 Senate votes and 400 House. Ilhan Omar would need Romney’s vote after presenting a NY birth certificate in the name of Boris Johnson.

  8. Addendum:

After Hillary is declared First Woman President for Life, she and Xi Jinping join in founding the Presidents for Life cult, adopting Idi Amin Dada as their patron saint. It is an iconoclastic cult: all likenesses of Winnie the Pooh and Jeffrey Epstein are destroyed. American parents are encouraged to name their newborns Hillary regardless of gender, which, in any case, is fluid.

Kinda makes you want to root for COVID-19.

  9. So we have a repellant communist and a repellant ex First Lady getting elected? That ticket would yield the first fifty state electoral loss.

Next time you want to tell a horror story, make it a bit more believable.

Now Bernie and Michelle, that might work.

Stranger things just happened 4 years ago! And again, would sub Pocohantas for HRC.

  11. Scott Adams claims that about one third of the public don’t understand humor. As implausible as that seems, evidence is mounting though I still think 1/3 is on the high side.

There is nothing humorous about an increasingly popular American way of thinking : everything should be free for everybody and the 1% not only should but even more unlikely, are capable of footing ginormous bills such as free Medicare and college educations for all.

You may have written this post in a humorous mood but results in Las Vegas make me uneasy.

I inadvertently mischaracterized Adams’s view. He claims that one third of the public cannot recognize humor when it is presented to them unless there are external cues, such as people around them laughing. It seems like a pedantic distinction but I think you’ll appreciate its significance.
