  1. Some how I don’t think they will get anyone to ride the Starship, OH Wait, here’s an idea…

If they can’t make up the losses that way, they “could” under bid “Radio Flyer” for their position at Wally-world…

“Has anyone seen my keys? I had them last when I was working on the rocket.”

I hear that Dime likes loud noises.

Richard, we chipped in and bought you a ticket for an experimental rocket. We also bought some insurance.

  3. I was hoping to see Starship SN4 hop …

Now, it will have to be the SN5 in late June, perhap by July 4th — THAT STARTSHIP LAUNCHES AND LANDS, ready for another test.

With the coronavirus scare, my wife is afraid to travel, eat out, etc., so perhaps this Starship setback will serve to provide me with more time to persuade her to either fly Southwest Airlines 1.5 hour flight, or drive 6 hours in our Ford.

THANK GOD FOR SPACEX TEAM THAT IS GETTING CLOSER, AND CLOSER TO A STARSHIP LAUNCH AND LANDING !!!

  4. Imagine some idiot thinking he could land a used booster on its tail, or dig a major tunnel for a price one place to the right of the decimal, or make an electric car that was not a sour joke, or tell the Soviet of California to go screw itself…and having it spin in.  Musk is anti-fragile.  Every failure is removed until there are no fails…

    ..and no unfortunate surprises.

  5. Uncle Al:
    Musk is anti-fragile.

Being willing to fail and having the resources to fail and fail again until you get it right is one of the paths to success.  I keep citing the Discoverer/CORONA spy satellite program which failed 12 consecutive times before its first qualified success.  NASA could never attempt or execute something like that today, but somebody with deep pockets and no oversight can.  Sometimes that’s the only way to fix all of the problems, one by one, until the whole thing works.

  6. Scott Manley has a detailed analysis of the event, with video from a number of sources, frame-by-frame examination of the explosion, and views of the aftermath.
