Karlyn Gets It

Dr Lorentz, I have to eat some crow. I might have been a bit to harsh on the good Dr Karlyn, but after this video I would say she has my tots respect.

She gets it. I love this video, because I have had this reaction SO MANY TIMES!! My friends would say stuff and I would think “wait, they can’t be this dumb can they?” Oh yes, they can. Check out her video, it’s only about 10 mins long and her reaction is priceless.

  1. Dr Karlyn has made a difficult journey, one that’s not quite complete and also one that few on the Left will ever make. She deserves a lot of credit for that. The same goes for Dave Rubin and some others.

When the Walk Away movement got started, I watched a bunch of their testimonials. There was a common thread: all the information they had access to had been carefully curated to fit the narrative. Imagine their confusion when they were exposed to the other side and imagine how hard was to repudiate everything they previously believed. And then there was the rejection by family and friends.

That’s a lot to process, as Dr Karlyn would probably say.

It is a process and Dr Karlyn is definitely on it. Interesting how she is documenting her journey with these videos. It’s like the Movie The Red Pill.  When Cassie Jaye documented her realization that perhaps feminism might not be all that it’s cracked up to be with a video diary. I try to be charitable (it doesn’t always work) but I am enjoying her journey. I still like her better than Dave Rubin. There is something about him that rubs me the wrong way.

Is it because he’s still more wishy-washy – too much of “on the one hand, on the other hand”? Keep in mind that he used to be on The Young Turks with all those lunatic leftists. He has a long road to travel. Also, he’s primarily an interviewer, not a pundit. That requires a more neutral stance.

Maybe, but I don’t mind people with a neutral stance.I really like Sharyl Akkinson and she has a neutral stance. To be honest, I don’t even know what her politics are. Also, I like people who have a slant but also do interviews. Haven’t figured out what it is just yet.
