  1. It truly is sad, isn’t it? Nobody has been taught any history or manners for years. I just keep hoping these animals will get tired and go find something else to do. We’ve got to kill the money tree. That’s the only way to stop it.

I look at all of this as in-kind donations to DJT’s re-election campaign.

  3. I remember being mocked and called “stupid” by some cucks at the legacy site a few years ago for comparing the statue-toppling vermin to Maoists and the Khmer Rouge, and for predicting that they’d eventually target non-Confederates.

    Well who’s stupid now, pendejos?

  4. I am appalled by these contemptible demonstrations. Not one of these ignoramuses pulling statues down could build one object that was useful or beautiful. They are talentless.

This is the Revenge of the Talentless on the country with the greatest store of talent in history.

  5. One more time…Socialism’s how-to,

“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.” George Orwell, 1984.

    Ground check!

  6. Paraphrasing something here …

History is not there for you to erase.  It’s there for you to learn from.   And if it’s Uncomfortable, so much the better.    That increases the likelihood that you won’t repeat it.  History belongs to us all.    You can’t privatize a public resource.   Doing that is pure greed.

  7. The ironic thing is the people who pull down statues put up statues to people who are more loathsome. Statue to the Unknown Looter anyone? Hugo Chavez? Che? Your pick?

  8. There is an end game here.    This is not just pointless Destruction.  The idea is to demonize the Founders.   If the men were evil, then their ideas were evil and should be eradicated.   And the institutions they founded are evil and should be upended.    This is aimed squarely at the Constitution and America as a Constitutional Republic.

I would only add . They are erasing WHITE history. The war on whitey is relentless.

  10. I believe the progressives/Dems know they will lose in November. It’s the only mindset that makes sense. They are the violent abuser who knows their spouse is rejecting them, and are saying to America, “if I can’t have you, no one will.” They want to leave the country in tatters for Trump to try and govern.

Oddly enough that was destroyed a long time ago.

On the topic of statues coming down, here in Wilmington, Delaware the mayor decided to take down the statue of Caesar Rodney who is credited with being the tie breaking vote in favor of independence. The statue was in a public space called Rodney Square. No mention of renaming that. Caesar’s great sin? You got it: he owned slaves who he emancipated upon his death. We are literally sharing a political arrangement with a bunch of Godless Jacobins. Anyone ready for a separation yet?

I’m going to disagree.   I think that might be plan B.   If they lose the ‘Resistance’ will be primed to go violent.  But  I Really think they see this as a winning strategy.   Their candidate is notably lacking enthusiastic support.    This energizes the base.   And it puts fear into the undecided.     They want the undecided to vote for stability and relative normalcy.    If a Trump victory brings rioting in the streets  and your town being burned and looted, maybe it’s just best to vote for Biden.   He won’t be that bad.  Not saying it’ll work … but it certainly worked for the Brownshirts.

  13. And U. S. Grant?! These freaking idiots apparently have no clue that but for him slavery would not have ended in 1865. These people are literally prime examples of why we need retro-abortions. Sure let them be born give them a chance and then by 23 or 24–right about the time they are done with undergrad—we can measure how big of a douche bag they have become and then abort them.

I disagree.    They are trying to erase WESTERN history and civilization.    And if they are successful in getting us to see the world in racial/tribal terms they are already halfway home.

They are going after Grant as a “slaveholder”.  In 1858, he acquired a slave from his father-in-law.  Although not an abolitionist like his father, Grant opposed slavery and did not force the slave to work.  In March of 1859, the slave was freed by a manumission deed by Grant.

There has been an edit war on the Grant page at Wikipedia, with the vandals briefly changing the first sentence to begin “Ulysses S. Grant (born Hiram Ulysses Grant; April 27, 1822 – July 23, 1885) was a slaveholder, American soldier, and politician who served as the 18th president…” (underline mine).  This was spidered by Googlebot and for a while showed up in the excerpt when you searched for Grant.

Haakon Dahl put up a post “Stentorian Roar…” that prompted me to take a brief look at Commentary Magazine’s website.  Where I see a column:

“Why the Right foresaw the Statues coming Down”

And the column is correct but incomplete.  It condemns the opprobrium that was directed at President Trump for wondering if George Washington would be next (in 2017).  But it only condemns the Leftists’ ire.  It says nothing about the echo chamber of the NeverTrumps.  That inconvenient bit of recent history has to get swept under the rug.  It cuts too close to home at Commentary.

  17. Washington, D.C.: Albert Pike

The mob has come to the capital.  The statue which was pulled down and defaced is the property of the federal government and is administered by the National Park Service which, as part of the Department of the Interior, ultimately reports to the President.  The Park Service operates the United States Park Police, which, as of 2006, had 605 officers, and is charged with, among other things, protecting federal monuments.

There is no evidence in the video of any law enforcement intervening to protect the statue.  The executive branch is thus, effectively complicit in allowing, by inaction, its destruction.  President Trump’s response, after the fact, amounted to this tweet.

He does not apparently realise that his Interior Department is charged with protecting such federal property.

Too late. If one side sees the world in tribal terms and the other does not, guess who wins once battle lines are drawn.

Well, we did elect a citizen President, Not a career swamp dweller. I can forgive him not knowing. But his staff and cabinet ? I am afraid Washington is a Patriot free zone. Who is really on Trumps team that supports Trumps agenda and who are Judas’s that kiss him then betray ?

NeverTrumpers opining on this topic is a bit rich, to say the least. What they fail to understand is that they’ll be the first ones up against the wall when the revolution comes, regardless of which side wins.

  21. Why is Trump holding back Federally-empowered mass slaughter?  Would you defend a bunch of whining DemSoc anarchists watching their own cities burn by their own hands? Would you defend 100,000 supporters in Oklahoma (where folks have gun racks in their pickups)?

“HERE WE STAND.  HERE YOU DIE.”  DemSoc REMFs will call for repeated human wave shock brigades of exemplary labour.  Exemplary labour might not be enthusiastic about about stepping over a tessellation of corpses Round 2.

There is no parallel with WW II. A closer, more recent, analogue is Yugoslavia. Or, if you prefer, Rwanda.
