A Non-Narnian Monopod Arrives Soon

I am “buying” a monopod by paying shipment and a future lunch. (How long can I milk the pandemic to get out of treating? I am not asking for a friend.)
I put up this post to place your orders for things you want me to photograph. What in Japan do you want to see?

I will try the moon shot again. And maybe the “house on the hill”.

Oh, the monopod actually has three stubby legs so it might be considered a tripod but it identifies as a monopod.

  1. Could you look to photo scenes that show both traditional architecture and new buildings in the same glimpse? I like seeing the juxtaposition. Also, smiling faces are always good.

It is hard to tell if they are smiling behind masks, Pencil.

  3. Pictures of the harbor would be nice.

And pictures of the hills west of Kobe.

Anything you think is interesting will probably be interesting to Ratburghers.

    Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Some of us would enjoy such silliness as masked goldfish. …… I’ll see what I can do. Are smiling goldfish enough?

Maybe.  Show us some and we’ll see.

Side question:  Since they’re gill-breathers, at least mostly, occasionally using mouth parts to inhale, what will the masks need to look like?

Now you are pulling my leg. Everyone knows what a fish in a mask looks like.

I want to see Dime and 10 Cents in the same picture. Have they ever been seen together. Are there any WW2 memorials in your city?

Who will take the picture, Richard, if Dime and 10 Cents are in the photo? Anyway there isn’t a dime worth of difference between the two of them.

I don’t know if there is a WW2 memorial in Kobe. There were no battles here that I know because the war ended before an invasion.

(NSFW, and for mammals overall.   Japanese culture is exquisite in its propensities.)

Why would you even think of writing a comment like this on a site that is trying to be family friendly? I am sure, Uncle Al, that you can find porn by yourself since that is your interest.

Why would you even think of writing a comment like this…

The manga is churned out like pasta in Italy and freely read in public.  Tastes differ.  I am dumbfounded by the number of human models apparently participating versus age-eligible population size.  Are they “liberated” by the public school system and forced “medication” like here in America?

This is a thread on photography, Uncle Al. I asked people about normal things such as landmarks or animals. Now you are writing about manga and the Japanese population. I don’t get the connection to photography.

Are there any memorials to the soldiers, sailors, airmen, etc. There are, or use to be, plenty of memorials to the Civil War in the North where there were no battles. Trivia question, what battle occurred in Vermont.

    I don’t know about Vermont.

There is not much talk about War World 2 except every August they remember the Atomic bombs.

I know there is a shrine in the Tokyo area that has war things. The big question had been whether the PM should visit it because war criminals are there.

I think the South is unique in building statues to people who led the losing side. Are there war memorials in England for the Revolutionary War?
