Is there any more (expletive) we could pile on to the outcome of this election.

I know there is a lot riding on this election, it seems. Maybe it’s just the perception put out there by the media but it does seem that a lot of people are stressed out like Vinny in the “biological clock” scene from My Cousin Vinny. I was just thinking about all of the crap a lot of people are piling onto the outcome of this election.

The legitimacy of our election process, our institutions and especially the Supreme Court. The (perceived) end to the global pandemic. The Rule of law in this country. Our first and second amendment rights, along with the rest of our Constitutional rights.  The economy……… What else can we pile on?

Remember there are a bunch of potty words in this scene and it’s only 2 minutes long, but great fun.

I’d add the market to this but I’ve had a great month. Many companies are doing well because they’ve adjusted to the new reality and are providing valuable services to the new adjustments we’ve had to endure. How American!

One company in particular came zooming out of the box early on in January at $120 and traded today at the high for $505. (I bought it at $125) and my only advice is to read IBD and WSJ religiously. The talking heads are useless but the reporters at IBD are true fiscal analysts. Love them!

  2. Western Civilization.

President Trump is singlehandedly preserving the last hope that western civilization can be preserved.

The Anti-America Party aims to reduce the U.S.A. to Communism.  Without the U.S.A., western civilization goes into full collapse.

I’m still feeling hopeful about America’s big entrepreneurs. They ain’t going down without a fight and I do think this is something the libs don’t get because they don’t understand how to make a dime in the private sector.

  4. O God MJB, you’re right, but…if we think of it that way, what’s left if we lose.?

okay here’s one little thing I did today, after seeing that Biden is 7 points ahead of Trump in Pa: I looked up what polls  said in October 2016.  Clinton had about the same lead.  Just sayin’.

    I can’t take it anymore.

THEY ARE FREAKING COMPLICIT!!!!! Just because your stupid stocks are rocking due to a FED induced inflation of the market since March, does not mean these turd burglers are doing anything to stop the slide toward imminent doom. Good god you finance capitalists are freaking short sighted!

Hyp I did the same thing today! The polls averaged together for the toss up states had Killary at 4.9 and these same states show Biden at 4.7. It did give a bit of a lift seeing that.

And you are obviously a non-invested person with financial problems?

I am a day trader so of course I live for the moment and know it so I’m making hay while the sun is shining. When the fall-out comes, I’m insured and I have plenty of cash. What are you doing other than whining?

  9. The pristine self is defined by the phony right not to be offended.  Ideas, and especially feelings, are more important that facts.  Woken intelligences sum like ohms in parallel resistors.  The hive mind does not buzz, it farts.

Trump is a guy who cares about his country.  Trump exercises the vision of a thousand men.  Vote for Trump – God sent him.

  11. I reckon what they’re doing is setting it up so if Trump wins it will seem like it HAD to be rigged somehow.   And then there’ll be the electoral college.

Last night I read that Leftist groups are planning go “shut the country down” if the election is close and Trump wins,  or if he wins the electoral college but not  the popular.  What would that mean?  Would it come down to military intervention?  Let’s say they lie down on the streets, The interstates, and on the train tracks until our government promises to abolish the electoral college.  Y’know, in Y2K we heard that Supermarkets only have a 3 day supply of goods.  If that happens in Nov. and Trump orders the national guard or some federal troops ? to remove them—will they?  Will the FBI and the CIA be working to engineer a “color revolution” as the CIA has done in other countries when it didn’t like the results of their elections?  Are we gonna end up,with, like, a provisional government  headed up by somebody like Peter Pansy?

  12. OH!  Everybody, just relax.  Que sera, sera.  The sun will still rise, regardless of the result of any election.

The most probable outcome of this Presidential election is that the outcome looks good for President Trump on the day after the election — and then all the (curiously 99% Democrat) hanging chads and “lost” boxes of ballots and “late-delivered” mail-in votes start popping up, delivering the election to Kamala.  The big question is — will the “Not-The-Democrats” in the country just shrug their shoulders, roll over, and accept it?  Because we know with metaphysical certainty that the DC Republicrats will not do anything.

That is precisely the scenario and no, nobody is going to do anything about it. It will be a blatant steal and the people most injured by the result will not take up arms and say hell no.

  16. …Except: the slur against ET was NOT redacted.  Nor was it redacted when I  was called a “garbage person”  or told that my opinion (about the French Revolution,(wow, now there’s a hot-button issue!) “ rated a giant FU”.  Well, the gallant gent responsible for all that me-hatred eventually immolated himself on these pages and now he’s gone, gone, gone, so…reckon I shouldn’t speak ill of the dead?   😥🙁🤔😂. ET is an accomplished and successful woman in every sphere.  I’m sure,  in the RAMU,  you gents are privately acknowledging that….?

It is good that Ratburger.org is less concerned with hall monitoring, suspensions, moderating, micromanaging, scolding and harassing the members.   We get to mix it up on all sorts of topics, naturally drifting towards those that generate the most emotional reactions.  Sometimes it shows.

Yes  it does.  And when it shows, that display is tolerated, and respected,  more  coming  from some members than from others.

The men here are really OK with another male member calling names against a female member?

    I am not.

It grates.  But I have recently seen much worse in comments at mass media outlets.  Yes, since this is members-only commenting, we have higher expectations.  On the other hand, we don’t expect every comment to be “professional” or even safe for work.

If you are badly bothered you should say so.  And, in fact, you have.  That is probably adequate for this instance.

I don’t think I have seen a lot of partiality, but I have been late to the conversation on this and other occasions, and perhaps that makes a difference in perception.

From what I have seen, an instance of a direct insult using a vulgarity is extremely rare.  The fact that it gets remarked upon in genteel fashion sets Ratburger.org apart from the rest of the internet.
