I attempted in my “White Supremacist” OP to go ahead and edit the comments I recently made to Phil Turmel. But when I hit edit, and then made the needed changes, I would hit “update” to be told I could not access that page. What? Why not?
I do not know what is going on here. You received a 403 error, which is what usually happens when, for example, a user attempts to edit a comment by another user. If I, say, try to edit your comment, that’s the error I get. You can also get a 403 if there is a synchronisation error between the front-end (user interface) and back-end (database operations).
I tried editing one of my own comments and had no problems. I also edited your comment as an administrator (making no changes) and it worked OK. Yours were the only 403 errors in the last 30,000 log entries.
Do you remember the exact sequence of operations you did when editing the comment? Did you, for example, use the browser’s “back” or “forward” buttons when navigating pages? From which page did you start the edit process on the comment?
