    I see all the media uploaded as a Contributor not just the things I uploaded when I add an image to a post.

    • This is how the WordPress Media Library is designed. WordPress was designed for managing blogs. The idea is that the blog has a library of images uploaded by various contributors, and that when an author or contributor wants to include an image, they can either choose one already in the library (regardless of who uploaded it), or upload a new one. There is no concept of a per-user media library.

    • I have just installed a plug-in, “Restrict Media Library Access”, which should cause Contributors to see only images they have uploaded. Administrators will continue to see all images, regardless of who uploaded them.

    • The “send a file” paperclip next to the chat typing bar does not appear to work. Related?

    • I don’t think so because cometchat doesn’t download from the Image library.
