    CONTEXT

    “PIA #8303 Update #4 Unstable Approach Profile”

    ADS-B data is pretty conclusive: the crew were way behind the airplane, diving to intercept the glide slope and too fast for gear extension. There were numerous conditions which should have mandated a go-around.

    • A big question is why didn’t we hear any of the automated spoken warnings that should have triggered.

    • That states that the glideslope audible warning only occurs if the gear is down.

    • Just the absence of the altitude call-outs as they approached the runway should have alerted the crew something was seriously wrong.
